Mgv song evening with guest choirs

A song evening organizes the MGV 1921 hammelburg on sunday, 15. October, in the parish hall of saint johannes. Under the motto "who sings stays young!", meeting with guest choirs takes place for the fourth time. At the same time, the association would like to contribute to the preservation of the tradition of french choral singing. Guest choirs are the gesangverein hoffnung 1921 untereschenbach, the MGV 1890 westheim and the sangerkranz 1926 reichenbach. Start is at 7 pm in the parish hall sankt johannes hammelburg. For the physical well-being is provided.
By the years of foundation of the associations you can see how many years the tradition of the singing is cherished and maintained. Today it is more difficult to motivate young people and many singing clubs had to be dissolved because of this, writes the association. But being a member of a club is much more than just singing, he says, because it makes it possible to spend many happy hours together.

Singers wanted

the club rehearses every tuesday at the old school in hammelburg from 7 to 20 p.M.30 o'clock, afterwards is still a cosy get-together. If you are interested in singing, you can just drop by.

Coburg stone sculptor receives bavarian state prize

Coburg stone sculptor receives bavarian state prize

Christoph berner from coburg shone in the stone mason/stone sculptor apprenticeship with the best graduation in the entire area of the chamber of handicrafts of upper franconia. He was not only chamber winner, but also received the bavarian state prize for his outstanding results in the three-year apprenticeship he completed in the coburg master craftsman's workshop of siegfried speer at the back of the glockenberg.
Of the 40 trainees who graduated in august from the vocational school for stone sculptors in wunsiedel, christoph berner achieved a result of 89.5 percent, graduating with a grade of 1.5 in theory and 2.0 in practical work. "This is a result of which we in the team of employees of our company are naturally very proud", explained managing director siegfried speer. "Christoph has put a lot of ambition, skill and interest into it right from the start", reminds the master stonemason.

Artistic vein
Of course, he likes the special skills and artistic talent of his "protege" demanded.
Such a result is remarkable, especially since the vocational school for stonemasons in wunsiedel had to meet very high standards, speer emphasized, referring to the high quality of the training.
Christoph berner, who was one of the best in his class throughout his training, had already favored the profession of stonemason/stone sculptor for himself during his school years at CO I. "My father learned at speer and probably infected me", says the successful bachelor. For him, the enormous support from the craft company was a decisive factor, the team spirit, family atmosphere and the good working climate also contributed to his motivation. A few days ago, he even took part in the bavarian state competition with his unusual journeyman's stucco, a mabwerk made of sudafrican sandstone with a wood-toothed grain, and won 4th place. Space occupied. When asked how he sees his career prospects, he emphasizes: "for the time being, I'd like to stay on at speer as a journeyman, because I can still learn a lot here and I enjoy the work."

In the feuerbach district, for example, the stops for the school buses in the direction of schwarzach/dettelbach and wiesentheid were an issue. In feuerbach there had been displeasure recently because of the relocation of the previous stop to the center of the town. The stop is dangerous because it is very close to the schwarzacher strabe. In addition, there is no possibility for parking there, he said.

Parents wanted the "old" one stop at the former school again, which was rejected by the bus company and the opnv for several reasons. After some back and forth, the building committee decided to erect a second waiting house on wiesentheider strabe, as opposed to the previous one.
