Hormann: olympic cancellation would be the highest penalty for athletes

The german olympic sports federation is assuming that the event will be implemented in 2021, but responsible management also means "looking at alternative scenarios," hormann said in an interview on sportbuzzer.

According to hormann, a decision must be made by the end of the first quarter of 2021 at the latest. In the end the world community will make the decision. "If, for example, numerous countries ban their athletes from traveling to the games, or japan has had to ban people from various nations from entering the country, the games will not be able to take place," said the head of the DOSB.

Coburg stone sculptor receives bavarian state prize

Coburg stone sculptor receives bavarian state prize

Christoph berner from coburg shone in the stone mason/stone sculptor apprenticeship with the best graduation in the entire area of the chamber of handicrafts of upper franconia. He was not only chamber winner, but also received the bavarian state prize for his outstanding results in the three-year apprenticeship he completed in the coburg master craftsman's workshop of siegfried speer at the back of the glockenberg.
Of the 40 trainees who graduated in august from the vocational school for stone sculptors in wunsiedel, christoph berner achieved a result of 89.5 percent, graduating with a grade of 1.5 in theory and 2.0 in practical work. "This is a result of which we in the team of employees of our company are naturally very proud", explained managing director siegfried speer. "Christoph has put a lot of ambition, skill and interest into it right from the start", reminds the master stonemason.

Artistic vein
Of course, he likes the special skills and artistic talent of his "protege" demanded.
Such a result is remarkable, especially since the vocational school for stonemasons in wunsiedel had to meet very high standards, speer emphasized, referring to the high quality of the training.
Christoph berner, who was one of the best in his class throughout his training, had already favored the profession of stonemason/stone sculptor for himself during his school years at CO I. "My father learned at speer and probably infected me", says the successful bachelor. For him, the enormous support from the craft company was a decisive factor, the team spirit, family atmosphere and the good working climate also contributed to his motivation. A few days ago, he even took part in the bavarian state competition with his unusual journeyman's stucco, a mabwerk made of sudafrican sandstone with a wood-toothed grain, and won 4th place. Space occupied. When asked how he sees his career prospects, he emphasizes: "for the time being, I'd like to stay on at speer as a journeyman, because I can still learn a lot here and I enjoy the work."

“The beginning of a new life”

Many faithful awaited the procession on yesterday's saint's day in the hochstadt cemetery in bright sunshine. The procession followed the festive service in st. George had walked through the streets of the city praying.
During the service, which was festively framed by reinhard doring on the organ, dean kilian kemmer referred to the triad of the feast of all saints: idea, ideal, and idol. God created paradise for man – the ideal – and man destroyed it in the freedom given to him. God's idea is to restore this lost paradise, at least to some extent. The ideas of jesus of nazareth are ideal and worthy of imitation. Idols in the sense of our faith are the saints, but also very personal role models such as parents, friends, teachers, priests, who show us the way to faith.
The confession of faith in the service formed the bridge to the following cemetery walk. After a moment of silence, the dean and those gathered commemorated in four stations all the deceased priests, pastors and parish priests, all the deceased relatives, but also all the deceased in this cemetery, for whom no one prays anymore. Finally, he prayed for all those who had been snatched from their lives by a sudden stroke of fate.
Kemmer was deeply moved by the large number of visitors to the cemetery, especially the many young people. Using the example of a ripe apple on a thorny branch, he explained that it is difficult for all of us who have not been able to observe with our own eyes the coming into being and passing away of nature to believe in it. He compared it to the maturity of our faith. Believing in the resurrection to new life is just as difficult. Kemmer: "like a harvest, the resurrection in god's glory is also a miracle. Death is not the end but the beginning of a new life."

This was slightly lower than the year before. In total, this means a minus of 65 842 euros, which the municipality must bear.

Nothing new for the rate. "A swimming pool is always a minus business," said mayor schulz. Even when over 22500 guests were paid during the bathing season a few years ago, the municipality had to add around 40,500 euros to the bill.
