540 kilometers by tractor to windheim

Claudia muller from ravensbruck visited her sister, who had been living with her for ten years, with her tractor brand knuppel-deutz; power 15 hp, year of construction 1954: a french and a bavarian flag as decoration, a sign with the inscription "women need adventure at the window.

With her air-cool bulldog knuppel-deutz from 1954 and her caravan eriba-touring (year of construction 1990) claudia muller has been chugging through southern germany for the last four years. This year she visited – for the first time together with her husband peter – her sister lisa who lives in windheim.

Since the end of june, she has been on the road with her 15 hp ride and enjoys the "deceleration". After about three weeks she has now covered the 548 kilometers from ravensbruck to windheim – mostly on country roads or field paths. At a maximum of 15 kilometers per hour, the friendly woman enjoys nature and makes contacts wherever she rests. After the short visit with her sister, claudia muller wants to continue driving and be back home via hof and oberpfalz by the end of august.

For her 60th birthday. On her 60th birthday, claudia gave herself the oldtimer tractor together with the trailer as a present – without telling her husband and four children about it. Finally it hit: "I’m off then". The family was speechless at first.

Since then the rustige hochbautechnikerin is each year several months with her fahrbaren untersatz far away from the schwabischen homeland on the way and enjoys thereby intensively the life with the entschleunigen.

Until a few years ago, the friendly woman was still active as a construction technician. "I realized that I don’t need much to live happily. And then I discovered this slowness that fascinates me so much", says the ravensburg rider.

Claudia muller has been chugging through germany for four years now. In 2015 she drove over 1500 kilometers in baden-wurttemberg alone for over 90 days. 2016 nijmegen in the netherlands was the destination. For the 2300 km she was on the road for over 50 days. And in 2017, she was on the road again alone, chugging from one oldtimer meeting to another over 1000 km in a total of seven weeks in southern germany.

She is not afraid of being alone on the road. She has had only good experiences so far. For the night, they usually look for a place to camp at a farmer’s or at a camping site. Wherever she appears with her old-timer team, she receives applause and respect for her performance and her new lifestyle. Without a navigation system, but equipped with a 300,000 map, claudia chugs along and wants to experience a lot more on her deceleration tour.
