Window art instead of turla

Bernhard panzer simira tang from the office for city marketing and culture has succeeded in creating a real hit. She was able to win over five renowned artists from the young nurnberg scene for a special open-air exhibition, which will run until 11 a.M. January lasts. They have agreed to create art for 24 shop windows in the city center. Certainly as a replacement for the living advent calendar, which had to be canceled due to corona and which many burghers surely sorely miss.

Nevertheless, no one has to do without the 24 towers, reports city marketing manager judith jochmann. As of today, there will be a very special advent calendar in the city center, which is not dependent on any vaccination and is easily accessible to all walkers. Shop windows of various stores and also unused real estate were selected for the exhibition.

The windows were designed with handlettering, graffiti, 3D art, collages or illustrations. Participants: hannah rabenstein, hombre SUK (pablo fontagnier), julian vogel, luisa stomer and eva wunsch. As the info says: "if you’re not in herzogenaurach, your artwork can be seen all over the world, for example in new york, paris, hawaii, uganda, shanghai or peru."

Only a few weeks remained after the cancellation of the living advent calendar to get the exhibition off the ground. The event worked so well because everyone involved was behind it and enough showcases were made available, says organizer simira tang. "This shows that it is a personal concern of all those involved to make culture an experience even in difficult times." and judith jochmann motivates the citizens of burger to go on a treasure hunt and to sharpen their view of what is essential.
